AutoMATE II

The Rigaku AutoMATE II enables high-precision measurement of large, heavy samples using a 2-axis goniometer with a stationary stage. It supports samples up to 720 × 560 × 540 mm and 30 kg. An optional automated XYZ stage (±50 mm X/Y, -5 to +35 mm Z) supports 20 kg and reduces the vertical working volume to 335 mm. The system accommodates test devices like 4-point bending setups. The X-ray source and detector, mounted on the goniometer, achieve sub-micron positioning with 0.1 µm step resolution when using the XYZ stage.
